I think my video codec is bad.

I don't know what's going on. Whenever I try to watch a video that isn't flash or QuickTime based, I only see the video in red and black tones. It's really starting to annoy.

Any ideas?

Any. If a website shows video through Windows Media Player, it does this. If I try to watch a DVD on PowerDVD, it does this.

I know how to fix it on PowerDVD, but the options I need to change are grayed out, and I can't figure out how to make them accessible.

..::EDIT::..
Good News: I was able to get into the option I thought I needed to adjust.

Bad News: It didn't do what it does in Quicktime when it does something similar.

I've heard about this happening before, and the reason Quicktime doesn't do this is it has something to do with using the codecs internally, rather than having them linked to libraries externally.

You can try VLC, but I doubt it will solve all problems. A quick solution would be to reboot. I'm not sure about a final fix though.
