Mic. Problem

I just got a $20 mic. but when I go in game and hit the talk button no one can ear it. I tried Sound Recorder and its just a bunch of static noise.

maybe you have it plug in the wrong port

it took me a couple of mics before i got one to work
i had the same problem then i bought another and same problem, then another and it worked lol

go into options then voice then try the mic tester thing and see if it works

I tried the mic.test, the first green bar wavers, but when I speak into it it doesn't move at all except for the first one

do you have your mice boost on

turn ur mic boost on, go to control panel and find ur mic thing, enable it, And try to plug it into the MIC Port .......
