First day of College, what about you?

Today was my first day, and boy I am tired, it's amazing. I've had cool experiences and cool encounters, such as my math professor a gamer, and me doing some art for a guy and obtaining my first dollar as an artist!

I'm working for an Associate of Arts and Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs CO.

What was your first day of college like and where were/are you going to school/what are you doing for school?

i slept the first day mostly but im pumped for this year, cause i sweet classes and a professor who is so cool, and i have music recording classes.
 
Well my first day of college was great...up until I realized all my teachers wanted me to purchase books for each of their classes.

I'm going to Palm Beach Community College and I'm currently working on my AA to get the hell out of there.
 
XD! So far the only book I need is my math one, which will set me back about 100 smackaroos. My art classes don't require books. Yay pencils and paper!

My first day isn't until the 31st and i'm pumped to go back to school. taking a general computer lit class (gonna ace it!!!) and some agricultural classes
 
My first day of college (four years ago) was a mix of excitement and frustration.

I was so excited because I got to start work on something that I truly cared about (music education). I was incredibly frustrated because having to manage your position on campus, your classes, eating time, relax time, dating time, practice time, and grocery/life shopping time sucks... at first.

Fast forward 4 years later and I really love it here. Once you grow into the lifestyle, it truly is great living on your own. :)
 
Haven't been to college, and I wont for three years. I'm a high school sophomore, but I will be graduating my high school with an AA degree. :)
 
its was AMAZING! one of my professors was also a gamer. i made my first dollar at a coffee shop tho. hahahaha!

OMG, i know!!!

Ok, i'm not in college anymore, but my oldest son is starting THIS semester. I'm paying his way...so we went down this week and registered. I was fully prepared for the tuition cost, since I had researched into exactly how much that would cost..

but...the books??? OMG!!!!! i was like...$@$$$@! That's a trip to cancun! Just for the books!!!

Certs are "nice"...but don't drop out of college just cause you got one. That degree will get you much much father than a cert will
 
Mine isn't for another year or two..

Looks really fun though :D I really want to go to University of Michigan!

Oh, no. An AA is a transfer degree. Basically it's just 60 credits of prereqs. I'm transferring over to a "four year" university in the spring.

Ahh...Associate of Arts Degree. I thought you meant the AA cert

I'M AT THE SAME SCHOOL!

We should meet up. I'm on campus M-R from 10am-2pm.

I'm working on an AA in psych. I'm going full time, so no work yet. Hopefully next semester I'll be able to juggle both work and school.

Just about to go on a 5 day road trip and then come back just in time for my first day of my junior year at THE University of Arizona.
