For the past three days I've been having problems with fire fox on my PC. First it started crashing constantly. Then pages started loading really slowly.

Yesterday, I reinstalled it, and the crashes happen less often but they happen. The pages still take a long time to load, and sometimes, they don't load at all.

Today, I was downloading a file, and it was take longer than usual. So I looked at the download page, and it was downloading at 200-250 KB/s and things for me usually download between 500-650 KB/s

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Might not be a FF problem. Sounds more like a ISP problem. What's your ISP?

I'm having similar Firefox crashes of late, seems to happen when I'm playing flash videos while browsing.

try reinstalling flash and then removing all of your add-ons and reinstalling them one by one

I read about addons that can cause problems. It said AVG linkscanner can cause crashing, and excessive memory and CPU usage. I disabled linkscanner, and I think I fixed it. Im not sure yet so I'll update tomorrow on whether the crashes stopped.
thanks for all the help

Totally dude. I used to have AVG and that made FF crash like an idiot. I tell people all the time that AVG is great but I personally don't use it because it crashed everything I have. I don't even use an anti virus and I haven't gotten a virus in 2 years.

I had this problem,

Not exactly the same. Mine would just go to about:blank on certain pages. After I uninstalled AVG, I was fine. Also, You don't really need a antivirus if you are cautions about what you download.
