MY going back to school thread...

Yes, i will be around MUCH less since school is starting up again. However, I am on the teacher side of things so while you guys complain of homework in 5 subjects some nights I have 150 papers to grade 90% of which really aren't worth reading. Homework punishes the teacher far more than the student. Especially when you see responses like " a boycott is when a band refuses to sit on a bus," "does America have nukes?", "Bill Gates is the president of Ohio right?" "when did Canada become a state?" or my favorite, "half of zero is like .5 stupid." Now you might think I teach elementary right? WRONG Sophomore History!!!! FTW! And yes, i really have heard all those things from students. :facewall:

Sophmore year... back to the chaos of High School. And I know how you feel. This is my schedule:
5:40 am - Wake Up
6:20 am - Catch the bus to school
7:00 am - Arrive at school
7:20 am - School Starts
2:05 pm - School Ends
2:30 pm - Football Practice starts (running, hitting, pushups, etc. in 90 degree weather with 30 pounds of pads on_
7:00 pm - Football Practice ends, go into football film
8:30 pm - Football film ends, leave for home
9:00 pm - arrive home, start homework
1:00 am - finish homework
4 hours of sleep, then repeat. I also have to get up that early on Saturdays.

Heh I loved my high school schedule when I was a senior.



5:30am wake up
6:40 walk to school
7:00 start school
12:00 end school
12 - till 11pm do nothing because I only had gym, a homeroom, math/english and psychology...only had homework in my math and english class that I did in homeroom and psychology





However more on topic that stinks yankee....i'll miss our heavy medic spawn camping. Cya winter break =P

I decided I didn't feel like surviving through the school year, so I took 8 academic courses, 4 of them being AP courses, and put my name into a provincial networking competition that will require me to read 3 more Linux textbooks outside of school. This is unfortunate, as I'm in my Grade 12 year =(

It's also uphill both ways to and from school through 10 feet of snow etc. etc. >.>

Same here, not looking forward to waking up, that's the only thing I dread about school is waking up.

Until 10th grade, starting from 8th, I was awake at 5 am to be at school by 6 for the first football practice. School started at 8, and by 2:30 we were back on the field again until 7/8 at night... Ugh, two-a-days were horrible!

I know, but ours end before school starts, I'm in them right now. 6-10 morning practice, then 1 hour lunch, then 11-2 afternoon practice.
