Hey, I'll cut this short. About a year ago I started drinking Energy drink, back then I used to be more active, Cycling, Running and Baseball were all some of the things I used to do, Now I'm more of a lazy guy, sitting around Gaming and watching TV for the whole summer holiday has only confirmed this. Yet even without the high ammount of exercise I find myself drinking 2-3 energy drinks a day, usualy the brands vary on what was cheapest. Looking around on the internet, I've heard people who have had some serious bad effects D: so...am I killing myself? should I stop or what?

just move your body from time to time you know.... and i think thats a lot of drinks for a lazy day :/

Ummm, I'm no expert, but I'm pretty all the sugar and caffeine you are putting in your body isn't the best... try substituting with water? :)

It's definitely not healthy, but I don't think you're killing yourself. It's going to hurt you in the long run. Try cutting down to 1 a day first, and then just stop drinking them entirely. It's the same as drinking coffee more than a cup or two a day (but worse).

Try your best to break the habit.

i have friends who are in the same situation as you. they were really active, so drinking that many energy drinks wasnt too bad. however energy drinks themselves aren't good for you no matter how active you are, especially if you're drinking at least one or two a day. you should definitely look into drinking more water, milk, and juices, and if you still feel the need to have some sort of sugar source for a bit as you transition, drink gatorade. just dont drink a lot of it.

Yeah...that can't be good for you. Then again I'm not one to talk. At the rate I'm going I wont live past 50.

i used to drink a ton of that stuff a day, like a litre a day. now im just down to a small can a few times a week.

if it's really something you enjoy, then drink it.
myself, i loooooooove soda and used to drink way to many liters each day, but had these headaches (like a wakeup call) beacuse of the soda, so i cut down on it so i drink like one can of soda each day, rest of the day it's water or iced tea <3

i've also loosen weigth beacuse of this, instead of looking forward to a piece of choco in the evening, i take myself a can of soda :)

I for one can't say you shouldn't drink that junk but ummmmm you shouldn't drink that junk. a good substitute would be oj or apple juice, per "unit" juice is a lot cheaper and better for you.

Heh, thanks for the advice. I guess I could just stop, doubt I'm addcited....Still thanks for providing some much needed help D:

another tip is if you dont like the water, get the little additive packs for the 16.9oz bottles. its still healthier and makes your drinks taste good.

For your own sake, I would definitely say either

a (preferred option): Stop drinking them so much
or b: At least find a way to use up the energy. Eventually, all the excess is pretty much gonna cause an "overload".

you ARE killing yourself.

one of my good friends was drinking 3-7 of those new Mt Dew Energy drinks, and those Horde/Alliance drinks daily, and he just had a heart attack. He lived, but ffs, he was only like 35!!!! The Doc said, it was because of his massive Caffiene habits. Now he's only allowed non-caffinated drinks/foods.

energy Drinks don't give you "energy", they give you a short sugar rush, that doesn't last very long. Try looking into natural supplements at your local GNC.

Woah, some scary stories D: Today I have only had one so far, this thread is making me think twice before I open a can. I do love tea though, I am British after all...
