If i am reading that right, then if idling you could lose your items? I don't really understand how they would know and I don't really understand it clearly, but it LOOKS bad.

EDIT:
possible pictures, but idk they look really iffy

Uh oh, looks like trouble. I'll just not idle and wait until I hear reports from people that aren't me.

I hope this is real.

I honestly don't think idle programs need to be used by anyone, especially our community players. I don't care how much you want an item. As far as i'm concerned, it is no different than typing in a give item code in the console and being given the item. And from a developer's perspective, it's a slap in the face to have impatient, ungrateful people trying to undermine something you've spent countless hours working on, good or not, it is how it was made.

and just as a side note, there was an update today.

The 2nd one looks fake. See the little boxes on the last lines of the Weapon Being Carried box? They should not overlap with the purple+black checkerboard.

I don't want this to be real, no matter how much I really and truly hate idling and consider it to be horribly out of line. If Valve ever wants to put a stop to it, they should give people ample warning and not take away what was already obtained.

Looks real enough to scare the proverbial poop out of me. No more idling for me. Besides I already got my darling camera beard Clarice, I'm satisfied with her.

Those are obviously faked pictures.

Illegally is spelled wrong and the second picture's block of text is no centered the way TF2 normally centers item descriptions in those boxes.

They're fake, you want a report? I just hit 500 hours idling, no warning for me. Feel free to idle.

Read through some of their older blogs. There was a post where people had all their new items taken away after something similar to this happened that upset the developers. It was around the time of the pyro update.

If this is real, Valve will have to personally answer to me.

I'm sorry, but for what? I don't want to start an argument but why would Valve have to answer to someone who obtains items in an illegitimate fashion? In my opinion, if this is real, I consider it a blessing, not only for Team Fortress 2 but for eGO as well. Now you can all start seeding OUR SERVERS, which need help late at night, because they are usually dead by morning. If you want to idle, idle our servers, help out the community, not yourself.

I use the idler whenever I want to idle but still use my computer, I'm happy to seed when I won't be using my computer.

I would seed the servers, but I shut my comp off at night. Doesn't look legit to me either, but it's not like I use the idle program anyways--I look down upon it. I await my first hat drop.

Please do. 8 out of 10 of our servers are dead at 6am. We need more insomniacs.
