Really? I've never heard of needing a special key for an Open Beta... I guess I must have misread everything about it.... Why can't beta's be simple things anymore?


Edit :: Ok, so I checked a little more into this, and guess what? The game is in fact, not an Open Beta as advertised. It is a File Planet only beta being continued. And before any of you say "oh well its open to all file planet users!" no. I'm sorry, but this is not open. It is only available to those that pay monthly for FilePlanet, thus making it a closed beta as it is not open to all users.

Sorry, but I guess I won't be playing this game. I'm not going to support something that encourages paid beta tests. They shouldn't be able to charge people to play in any beta ever as we are doing them a service, even if it is in a round-a-bout sort of way. It's simply greedy and underhanded to do something like this. And to further this point, why wouldn't they mention that you need to be a FilePlanet paying subscriber anywhere on the official website for the game or the beta information? Because they want you to download the client and then if you want to use it, you have to subscribe to FilePlanet and essentially pay a monthly fee for the game during beta.

The game is excellent, as to the betas, all open betas will be paid through fileplanet membership, just gotta get used to it.

They actually made the beta keys public recently, they just wanted to make sure they weren't flooded with new people too quickly, so they made it FP members only at first.

Im not sure how this eGO guild would work considering the fact that there are two different factions and tons of different severs

It would just be an open guild to eGO members. If you wanna roll on that server/faction, fine. If not, well then don't. At least that seems like the most likely and easily created method. And since the game is new, it shouldn't be a problem getting people to actually play on the same server.
