Cant get steam i.d

Hey im looking to join ego for INS, but i cant get my steam I.D, i know you have to press the squiggly line and type status but instead of a squiggly it is a " ` " however if i press Shift+`=~ , but steam doesn't recognize the shift+ part. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Then I could post in the recruitment section.

Your console doesn't seem to be enabled. It isn't, by default.

You'll need to go into your in-game options, then click the 'Keyboard' tab. At the bottom of the window that pops up, there should be a button that says 'Advanced'. Click on that. You should then see a box that says 'Enable Development Console'. Checkmark that, and click OK. Then, click 'Apply'. You will then be able to use your console by clicking the ~ key, and you don't have to hold Shift to do so.

(Unless you're on a European keyboard, which has a different set up...)

Just press this ` and type status. Find your name and copy your steamid and your good to go.
