Hey guys, :)

When in play DOD:S or another online game. I see alot people who try to communicate with the microphone, but I almost dont hear thim. And that is very annoying, becaus you keep just hearing some voice, and dont know what he says.

Sow i decided to make a some kind of tutorial to make your voice sounds as hard as possible.

1. You most go to Start on your computer Desktop --> Control Panel --> Sound and Audio Divices --> Voice --> then you see: Voice recording. under that press Voice.

When you click on that, you see on the left side: Recording. You can increase or lower that sound volume by uper that some kind of squar. Put it to the TOP.

2. Go to Steam. And then to the game you gone play. For example Day of Defeat Source. You go to options, and then voice. And take these settings:

If right people most hear your voice much louder now.
Hope it worked....

If not... please dont say:"We already know that noob!" :P
If you didnt knew it jet... im glad i could help :)

:O yea btw... If somebody got any other option to increase your voice recording, post it in a reply and i will add it.

Firewalll ;)

+ If this all above isnt working. you can also set sound volume lower in the DOD settings. And then still keep voice receive volume at top. Then put your sound system higher. Now you hear the voice beter, and you dont hear the game sound harder.

Also very helpful is the +20dB microphone boost in the Windows audio control panel. Thanks for posting this, I hate not being able to hear people :P.

I would like to remind everyone not to be rude to people whose mic's aren't working. I know it can be frustrating, but try and remember that not everyone knows how to adjust sounds, troubleshoot equipment, or afford to fix their broken gear. Good post!

Im afraid i am one of those people. I have everything cranked but my mic just dosent pic up too much sound for Steam. My solution is to scream anything that is important until i buy a new headset.

Not all Windows control panels have this.

Atleast my laptop didnt, but my desktop does.

And I cant explain where it is right now, as I'm not on my own PC and I cant remember where that setting is >.<

Does anyone know the cfg command to adjust transmit volume? my keeps resetting to full when I restart DOD and then i sound too loud? appreciate any help.
