Hi as some of you may know im not really that good in day of defeat therefore im asking for your help by telling me movement strategies and how i should handle the different weapon,

i hope you will all pitch in to help me become better cause im getting a little tierd of getting dominated all the time:P

thanks in advance lt.thomas

With the Support kit guns (BAR/STG) I recomend you move and crouch. I like to move from position to position. I take cover, get a kill and then try to time it to move forward with teamates. I also NEVER take them off of full-auto. Try to fire in bursts of 2-3 shots at medium range and go full-auto at close range. If its a long range shot just run.

:)

If you use rifleman weapons use the little dot. the crosshair its number 5 and take the smallest you can you hit very good with that. and when you are support use the little dot you hit more better than the normal crosshair :)

1) Spraying your gun never works! Short bursts keep your crosshair on the target and your rounds will hit more often.

2) NADES HURT! Always watch out for nades always have a good exit strat see a nade and run

3) Don't just charge in! Sit back and pick off your targets people call it camping.. but I call it good clean fun!

Theres alot more tips but.. my tips aren't free.. just ask BlueStealth.. btw blue your lesson is tonight

Just get on ur belly around a corner with the support gun and u should get some kills. Btw what is your steam name and/or skype name, thomas?

part of the problem is that most of the time i dont get time to aim before i get shot

if you have the support/assault class and you know theres enemies around the corner and its gonna be a close fight... prefire a split second before you go around that way you got the first shots going out and a halfway decent chance of hitting him before he hits you

rifles.. unless your laying down support for your guys moving keep moving yourself and if you have to shoot stop for a split second shoot and then move and repeat i dont care what anyone says about this IRON SIGHTS ARE YOUR FRIEND!!!! at long ranges use them your way more accurate than just using that lil dot and it takes but a split second to pull them down and take off running if theres an danger

yummy, sniper bait.

Anyways, here is the definitive guide to becoming a better player: join a server, find the player with the best Kill-to-Death ratio for the class at which you want to become better and spectate them. Just see what they do. Figure out what they're doing that works well and try to find things that don't work so well. Do the good, do not do the bad.

When you see what success looks like first-person you can begin to emulate it, and then you will develop a style. When you become comfortable with a style that works for you you'll start to build on it with your own little tricks that you'll gain by experience. Experience really is the name of the game. Experience what good players are like first-hand and simply mirror them. If you find that you are effectively mirroring a good players movement patterns and you're still not doing well you probably need to train your reflexes....

Find an empty server or create your own and just start making precision snap-shots on objects on the map. Learn how to train your crosshair quickly, learn every corner, practice rounding each corner with your crosshair trained on commonly camped spots and try firing controlled bursts into them. The sad truth is everybody plateaus at a point where they cannot train their aim to be any better. This is why you need to create advantageous shot angles and opportunities by surprising the enemy and being as unpredictable as possible, and you can learn all this by spectating a player who knows how to do it.

Be aggressive, spontaneous, decisive. Fortune favors the bold.

I remember there was this awesome garand guy in the server once, and people on my team went to spec him and were amazed at how he wasn't doing anything super awesome. He was just shooting from cover while taking people out one at a time, basically going 1v1 against everyone. I'm not saying he should've been amazing, but he was playing smart and killing alot of people at once. Map was orange_fight_arena (frag-map) and he was killing easily. I remember one guy that specced that person said "...what is he doing that i don't do?...he's not even that good..." but that guy was playing really smart and taking cover and making all his shots count (1-2 shots=dead).

Also I use a tiny dot as a crosshair. the size is "cl_crosshair_scale 8" The larger the number the bigger the crosshair (careful tho, I think around 6 or smaller it gets invisible)

If you wanna see how I play, here's a video I made a while back.

Spraying works. Just pull your mouse down until it falls of your pad/table, then repeat. :)

Translation: Spec Ronpaul in Kalt sometime. Also, props for the Machiavelli quote ;)

The only tips I have are to watch your mini-map and aim for the center of mass with the assault rifles, and like Spray said, keep pulling that mouse down while holding the trigger. It takes practice.

Well my personal favorite strat is to let someone go before...let them die and find out where the bad guy is...then kill him
