IMO, I would get Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit.

Why?

You have 2 GB of RAM so you don't need the 64-bit edition (unless you plan on upgrading to more than 3.25 GB of RAM, or you just want 64-bit because it sounds good :P ).

And, the only major differences between Home Premium and Pro are:
1. Remote Desktop Hosting in Pro
2. Domain Controller Support in Pro

That's my 2 cents, hope this helps.

^ Almost exactly what I was going to say.

Unless you plan on getting the extra ram just get 32bit. Because in some (not many) applications 64bit has some compatibility issues.

Heya Angeal,

Looking over your specs, yer processor and mobo is 64-bit compatible, so if you are going to get an OS, I'd get 64 bit. The benefits to this is that you are able to increase your memory size in the long run, all depending on your motherboard. If I am correct and this is the right motherboard that I'm seeing, then you can go up to 4 GB. 32-bit Windows can only recognize up to 3 GB of memory.

Edit: Some other peeps beat me to the punch. If you do not plan on upgrading your memory at all, then go with 32-bit if it's a cheaper solution (which will be most likely). My laptop is running Windows 7 Professional 32-bit with 3 gb of DDR2-800 RAM and it run's beautifully.

I disagree. Why would you want to go with the 32bit when you have a 64bit hardware??

It's not just about the memory (although, it's always nice to have the OPTION to add more later), but face it, 64bits can handle calculations faster than 32bits.

having 64 bit doesn't really effect anything if you're still running all 32 bit programs. you don't need 64 bit.
and for what you do, you really don't need 64 bit or more than 4 gb ram....people just think the bigger the better, which is fine and all, but if price is an issue, build a computer for your needs
and if you want my opinion, with that computer, i'd save up another 300 bucks or so and buy a full rig. it'll have windows 7 on it already, and you're massively....MASSIVELY due for an upgrade...on everything

Go with 64bit. just as everyone else said, the extra ram you will eventually need in the future. 2gb is not a whole lot, and you might as well. Same price. Get an extra stick of ram, you will see improvement.

hmm, are you sure its 3.25, im currently running 4 gb on a 32 bit, it showing as 3.0 gb only in the system info

That's because the maximum amount 32-bit OS's will recognize is 3gb. For anything higher than that, you would need a 64-bit OS.
