Motorola Droid

Yea i was looking at this on my iPhone 3g.......Motorola finally made a good phone, taken them a while for them to finally make a good phone. I can't even remember the last phone they made that was a big hit except for the Razr which everyone got since it was so thin and all that.

Im gonna wait till apple comes out with their next iphone, i really wanna see that. Not a fanboy or anything but i just like the iphone and can't wait to see wats next....hopefully something absolutely sick and a whole makeover unlike just the iPhone 3gs
 
finally my verizon fanboyism pays off (and my contract is up for renewal on the 5th)

The RAZR was absolute crap, along with every Moto device afterwards.

I would not ditch an iPhone to get a Droid. However, I would ditch AT&T to get Verizon. The Droid will not be an 'iPhone killer.' It will just be a nice alternative for those of us who do not like dropped calls.
 
Looks like a nice phone.
I don't have Verizon ... so it's not something I'll look forward to ;) Plus the contract is still up for about a year...

My roommate thinks it looks awesome.
 
Droid is nice it will be the iphone killer trust me on this and if u want an iphone on verizon just wait less than a year and they will have it
 
Sadly the series is tied to Verizon. And I don't see me leaving my provider anytime soon

No.....it will take more than that phone to kill the iPhone. This is exactly what they said about the Palm Pre....they were like oohhh this is gonna be the iPhone killer and nothing really happened. Trust me on this, there are too many people out there in the world that like the iPhone and in general i agree, its a great phone and i doubt it will ever be taken down so long as apple keeps coming out with new iPhones.

Don't get me wrong, this droid phone is nice and all but its not gonna be an iPhone killer. And also, its unknown if verizon is gonna get the iPhone next year, Apple has a lot to think about, i just read an article about the whole thing, if they open up to other companies like Verizon they will surely sell more iPhone no doubt about it. The problem is, the price of the iPhone will also be drived down, ALOTT!!...Apple has to think about whether it wants to sell a ton of iPhones or sell less but for a great profit for each phone. It is unknown what they will do but some believe the latter will happen. Atleast an extension of about 1 more year or so.
 
its a solid looking phone I agree. When i saw the google map features I was definitely impressed. I believe garmin and tomtom's stocks both tanked after seeing the google nav features.

Very impressed with the phone. Just the thing we need to spur competition. I personally have owned all 3 versions of the iPhone and I welcome some new technology that exceeds it with what looks like an equally impressive user interface.
 
I think the iphone still will be beter. Hower this phone looks also good, it doenst beat the iphone i think:P

Maybe not. But if you don't like dropped calls, you would probably prefer to have this phone even if it's not as good as the iPhone.

Im honestly cool with iPhone and AT&T, but thats probably cuz i live in new york long island and the signal is good and all........i hope that iPhone doesn't go verizon though, my plan ends before the contract expires but i want to wait till the new iPhone comes out...i might have AT&T though when they make the switch to Verizon if they make the move, i have a feeling they won't atleast not yet...they might extend the contract with AT&T first for another year. Either way i just want to be with the contract that has the iPhone when the new one comes out.
 
I Like the HTC hero, Between The ANDROID platform and HTC's UI and Sense, the phone is awesome. Also its on sprint which is by far the cheapest nationwide cell company that offers everything. I have an HTC Hero and I had Unlimited everything for $99.99( which is about $60 less for the comparable At&t iphone plan.) . Now since they got free mobile to mobile (Unlimited calls to any US wireless number from any company). I have the 69.99 Plan which includes unlimited everything, except for landline minutes(which between the hours 7 p.m. and 7 a.m and weekends is unlimited anyway.) which is 450 minutes, which is fine because I never call land lines. Between Sprint service and price and the HTC hero with google, I am very very happy with my phone.
 
ima get one of these when i get a job. which will be ____ lol.
