Infinity Ward calls PC games "The smallest group who plays CoD4"

whatever, if if this game sells incredibly on the console, how long do you think it will be until they do something console gamers dont like, and when they ask for a change, they dont get it.

They pretty much already eliminated any hope of sales for the PC. all they will sell is console games, and give it a yer or two, and soon they will screw over console gamers and the company will go bankrupt.

PC gamers are what CoD big, and now they screwed us. just wait console gamers, your day is coming.
 
I think you should read the whole story again. 187,439 out of 14,000,000 is a minority. He's saying they have a loud voice and they are listening and even goes on to say how you have to be close to your community but not a slave to it. Nothing wrong there.

First COD I might get since the original.

187,439 is still the minority of PC gamers let alone all COD gamers (the 14 million).

^That bothers me, because hardcore gamers ARE PC Gamers, period.

Consoles have ZERO games that hold replay value, Halo franchise sucks, GTA series plays better on PC, Every FPS is better on PC, RTS is a joke on consoles, RPG's, pssh WoW anyone?

IW bleep-ed up hard this time, thats fine, saved me from wasting 60 bucks, oh, just in time for L4D2 and BF:BC2 kthxbai.
 
I'm not sure what's going on, but I'm pretty sure Activision turned on the 'fun vacuum' over at IW, considering they've removed basic features on a PC version that nearly every game has.

I was going to get this for my PS3. Not a snowball's chance in hell now. It's pretty clear that someone is telling them "profit > entertainment". Why bother spending time tweaking the game to work better with altered features on the PC when we can just do a 1:1 copy and save the time and effort.

Consider me a potential CONSOLE buyer who's not coming back.
 
Well think about it if they sold 13 Million copies for the 360 and PS3 thats 13,000,000 x $60 a copy and do the math.

If they sold 1 Million on PC at 60$ a copy then they're not loosing that much money if all 1 million returned their copy.

Im still going to get MW2 cause an even more epic single player and no more Marty :D! but for Christmas D:! but I feel sorry for those who returned it.
 
Unfortunately, we're looking at a sound business decision that hurts our particular group. The good news is, as fun as the CoD games have been, there will always be plenty of fun PC games out there to play with our friends.
 
Kind of simple really.

Seeing how money IS the root of all evil, more money is on the console end of things. Same thing happened with the original GTA games.

They have to give a lot of that money to the console owner. With PC and them raising the PC price to 60$ they almost get double the money per person that buys the PC version versus the console version..

I currently have no plans to purchase MW2. I love cod4 and was so excited for this game. The inability to have a dedicated server with settings how my group of friends like to play was the killer. No control over our gaming experience results in no gaming from me. I bought World at War for the console after not liking the feel of the beta for PC. I won't consider giving them my money for the console version. Too bad they couldn't have done this right. I may have considered buying both.
