PS3 & Netflix?

I'm new to the whole Netflix thing. I don't normally rent or go to many movies so I decided its time to check out Netflix. I have a PS3 I got from a black friday sale last year. I read that you can do streaming of Netflix movies to a PS3. Is this only for the new PS3 slim? I saw there is a disk that is required to do it. I would assume that the disk works for the PS3 I got last year too?

Another question about Netflix streaming... If I get an account and start watching a video on my computer can my sister also get on the account and watch a different video on her computer?

lol of course it will work. The PS3 slim isn't like a whole new console or anything, its just slimmer. The old PS3 and new PS3 do the same thing and work the same, just size is different.

Yes you will need the cd, which is stupid actually. You have to put the CD in everytime you use streaming. They are gonna come out with software to do streaming like next year or something instead of using the CD so im waiting till then.

Yeah, us PS3 users have to use a CD until the exclusive software contract with Microsoft ends. In regards to watching the movie on a computer: you need to have the unlimited account in order to use the disc, therefore anyone with a login for that account should be able to watch as many movies as they want. However, concurrent video streaming is prohibited, it monitors for multiple IP addresses being used by the same account.
