Infinity Ward calls PC games "The smallest group who plays CoD4"

Gamers aren't the only ones jarated by IW. Direct2Drive and other online digital distributors are refusing to sell MW2 because it uses Steam (even if you don't buy it from Steam). ...PC gamers are the minority in the gaming community. There was a time when it wasn't so, but Ultima was a long long time ago. It doesn't excuse IW for their callous treatment of what PC gamers expect a PC game to have, but you can't blame them for focusing on making a profitable experience for console gamers their priority. Maybe instead of complaining about the features MW2 lacks, be thankful they bothered to develop a PC version at all.
 
If it wasn't for Valve and their devoted support for PC gamers. Then, I would most likely be a console gamer.

IW is throwing PC gamers under the bus and it's a good thing I haven't ordered the PC version.

But not creating IWnet would have taken even less work from them, and made them more money.. which dosen't make sense. They could have just left it in..
 
If you have a 360, I'd suggest just getting it on their. Call of Duty on the PC is dead to me now :(
 
I hate consoles, I've been waiting for them to die since ps2. They screw up the entire gaming community and the entire gaming market. That said, I saw this coming from a mile away. I've never been a fan of the CoD series, and this (the absence of dedicated servers) just reinforces that.

Also, I am aware that I'm somewhat off topic. :)
 
Gah, I don't know how many times I can tell myself I'm not going to get it. I wasn't going to get it at no server support and with each new Infinifail it feels like they owe me money to counteractive HOW MUCH I WONT BUY IT.
 
we may not be the biggest group of cod gamers but we are for sure the most competitive.

How have they screwed up the entire gaming community? If anything they really helped the community grow by making gaming more mainstream. You no longer have to keep buying and upgrading a computer with expensive hardware every year or two just to play the most recent games. A console is a one time cost gaming device. Many people who cannot afford to PC game will play on a console.


So how does that hurt the entire gaming community???????????????????? :confused1: :confused1: :confused1:

I never really understood the animosity that PC gamers have towards console games. It just seems like misguided elitism.

Every console generation consoles get a feature or upgrade that pcs already had. In the end consoles will just be cheap pcs with a controller. Also when a company makes a good game for the pc they make a ton of cash, even blizzard recently said more people should focus on the pc group because there is a lot of demand for it and not focused on as much. Just imagine the incoming sales of diablo 3 and starcraft 2.
 
where do they get off charging 60 dollars for the pc version anyway?

It seems like every 2 years the price new pc games go up by 10 bucks. I remember when new games were 39.99. now 59.99? Cant wait till 5 years from now when were paying 80 bucks for new games.

Well think about it this way they're focusing more on console cause they are more popular. They're cheaper, easier to set up, and require little to no technical knowledge. They're easier to LAN and a way to be more social because of the ease of set up for LANs and such.

Because it's called a business and Activison can charge any amount of money they want. They know people would pay $60 for any version. Welcome to the world of Economics 101.
 
i cancelled my PC version of MW2 cause it has no online play and that makes me mad :( so i am boy cotting every COD game made. :) lol i know it wont work but i can hope!!
