I was wondering, How much of a deal do you get if you buy the valve pack instead of just buying the individual games?

Hmm, i guess you would just need to calculate the cost of each game seperately and look at how much it adds up to. But i think the Valve pack is cheaper.

unless you plan on playing all the old games, then ya. But the HL1 games are pretty dead now.

He won't have to download every game in that pack, only the ones he wants to play.

Also, wait for Valve's year-end sale. I got the Valve pack for $60-$70 last Christmas.

Steam has deals so often I find myself hesitant to buy games because I feel like they'll go on sale the next week.

Whenever you see a sale too good to pass up though, definitely take it. It would be a good idea to wait until Steam puts their pack on sale, like NCA said, it will save you monies and you can get all the games instead of buying individually.

I'd have to agree, I have a huge gaming problem. I have over 150 hard games, and by that I mean on CD or DVD, plus over 50 steam games I ordered online, about 30 I ordered from D2D and I have a xbox ( the old one ) with about 78 games. To this date all my game time is on 2 games, CS:S and DDO. Heck, some games are still in the orig package, and almost half my steam games I only watched the intro, the Xbox games just look nice on a shelf. I always say " I'm going to play them all and beat them "....but the fact of the matter is: I'm 39......I prolly die before I even beat half.... or even play them....and I'll always buy the newer ones and play them first. So Think about it....will you really play all those games?
