Everyone look at my crappy internet speeds! Don't try and tell me "Speeds change every time you take the test". WRONG!!! Thats my speed all the time! Now I ask, could you say that this is "A bit better than dial up?"

btw, im leaving it like that so don't ask for updates. Its not gonna change anyway.
 
That's twice as fast as my DSL.

What are you wanting to get out of this thread?
 
thats not too bad there i have dsl at my house ill have to test it out to compare the speeds. Im so glad im in college and get their internet. Its so fast!
 
1mbps is considered light DSL or cable internet. usually the norm is 5-7 mbps and extreme is like 8-10, from where i live anyway.
keep in mind 56k internet would be between 40-50 kbps. so your internet is actually approx 20 times faster than dial up
 
Cable internet...seriously? Maybe in New York, or somewhere else with thousands of neighbors.

The lowest I've ever seen cable is 5mbps.

Satellite speeds are around 1mbps too, actually kind of slower.

Comcast's cheapest internet is 1mbps (which I have).
 
Well the cheapest Comcast offers here (Jax, FL) is 6mbps.

I pay for 12 and as you can tell, get ALOT more than that.
 
Hey just be thankful you can get on the internet. I know some people who cannot get on the internet at all. They live out way in the country and cannot get a connection to the internet.

I did have AT&T before.... It was awesome in comparison to this :(
What part of STL do you live at? Not specifically (no street address plz lol). I live in South City not far from South County (lol)
