Custom CyberPower setup... how's it?

I'd say go with the Intel right above me.

And you void your warranty by opening the case? heh?
How do they expect you to keep your parts clean?

I am leaning towards the Intel as well. It seems to be cheaper AND more effective. The price difference appears marginal, but twenty or so bucks is twenty or so bucks. I'm trying to keep it at $925 tops, WITH shipping, and this seems to be right on the mark (it's like ~$920... lol).

I'm actually not sure if I void the warranty if I open an IBuyPower case. I mean, I'd figure not, since they're gaming PCs... but Dell and most non-gaming PCs' warranties are voided if you open the case. I guess it helps save them trouble, plus if parts futz up due to internal errors through lack of cleaning, it's more money to them (as you have to send it in to Dell for repairs... I believe even sending it to a SHOP voids the warranty, since they also open the case). I'm really not sure in the case of IBuyPower though. Anyone know for sure? ;(

EDIT: BTW, the liquid cooling upgrade was completely free so I'm going for a liquid cooling system. Also, I said "screw that it's ten bucks" and upgraded from 320GB to 500GB on my hard drive. Now I have more room for illegally downloaded video ga-- er... illegally downloaded mu-- er-- movi-- er-- 'acquired' programs and products! ;D

Curious, it says I can get a free Sceptre monitor and that some shipping is free. I don't see where to get the monitor nor if my PC is free shipping-legible (though I assume not)?

Why get Win7? Get a cheaper OS if you're so tight on money.

If you use cracked stuff..........why do the same for windows 7?? saves you a ton of money and it will allow you to build your own computer from scratch for much much cheaper and much faster......

Also, did you look at my suggestions??? the links i gave you from newegg with computers linked to them ARE SO MUCH BETTER THAN ALL THE ONES YOU BUILT AND THEY COST THE SAME PRETTY MUCH!!!

If you budget is $925 with shipping here ill show you the best computer.

THE GPU ATI 5850 BLOWS EVERYTHING ELSE AWAY!!! the athlon II x4 might not be the best but its definitely better than dual-core CPU's and if you overclock it you will get much better performance. THE 5850 ALONE MAKES IT WORTH IT, FASTER THAN GTX 285

I have to admit, that link you put up is mighty sexy. That's almost a too good to be true deal.

But if you MUST buy it from x site, then the last rig you put up is more than sufficient.

Although I would say go ahead and try to build your own...

And you can actually get a copy of Window 7 for 30 bucks. I think the site is win741.com and you just have to use a .edu email address (I think most high schools offer a student e-mail option). I got a copy of 7 Pro for 30, and it was a full version, not an upgrade.

Why would you go for a cheaper OS... Vista isnt that great and XP is out dated... its better to get Win7 now, runs faster than XP in some apps, looks as nice as Vista plus has DirectX 11
