Animations in CS4 are pretty fun, alot of sigs I've made lately have some sort of animation. So if you guys have any questions or need help just ask. Heres a few examples of what you can do in CS4.

surely you can do that in 3 or flash aswell

Yea I dont think its changed much since CS4, a few tweaks to what can be extrapolated by the system. But ultimately you can animate anything you want if you want to put the time in and animate each frame.
