Can't install in Steam

I bought my new video card so I can use my PC again, and I came home, installed, it works great... I buy torchlight because of the weekend deal. So I go to install it.... annnnd steam won't let me. Says the servers are too busy, try again later. That was last night at about 11 PM... now its 8am and it still says the same thing.

Are the servers really that busy for that long that I can't install a 400 MB game that I paid for?

Thanks, that fixed the problem.

And for everyone else's reference, the Chicago area was the one that is currently too busy. I switched to New York and it works fine.
