Is anyone in eGO going to be playing this game? I'm nabbing it on launch, but I'm hoping I'm not alone, the nerd I am and can expect some fellow eGO's to play with.

Anyways, the rumor 5 years ago when this game was announced between myself and all my college buddies was that we were all going to pick this game up. We'll have to coordinate and make sure we're all on the same server lol.

I'm hoping to try the beta or a free trial first though.

I was thinking of pre-ordering on my way home from work, but I decided not too. The game doesn't seem very appealing. Maybe after release and the review are out I'll decide.

A few buddies of mine outside eGO are gonna pick it up, so I'll prolly pick one up as soon as the funds permit meh especially since there's literally nothing that looks interesting beyond this til possibly GW2, Blade & Soul, and SW:TOR.

Space in general looks great, ground combat looks iffy til max lvl (saw a couple devs w/ max lvl chars fight on ground and it was kinda gross the stuf they were pullin off) but the planet they were on blew me away with the beautiful lush environments. It may be stylized graphics but they did a very good job on it.

I found a good fleet to play in called Fifth Fleet. It's like eGO for Star Trek Online users. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to play.

That's what the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game offers, which is also being offered by Atari.com. If you go to startrekonline.com and go to the tab that says Buy STO, it'll bring up a list of companies where you can purchase the game from, each having a unique pre-offer special.

Personally Amazon's Borg bridge officer look like the best offer but I think I'll stick with Steam.
