Ok, so I got a PSP for christmas and I use a memorystick/sdcard type thing and I want to put some picture's and music on it but the problem is I dont want it to get stuck in the SD card slot in my laptop because Its just too small and on the memorystick it says " MemorystickPROduo " or something like that and then on my laptop on the side of the slot for sd cards its got " SD/MMC/M/PRO " so my question to you should I stick it on the slot?

Yes. if it's written on the side, its fine. They ALWAYS go quite far in, theres just enough left out to pull it out

The PSP doesn't use a regular SD card, its a specific one made by sony so I doubt your comp supports it.

It uses Sony Memory Stick [Pro Duo] depending... If your slot works with Sony Memory stick which "Pro" is, then it should work... It's long and thin so tweezers should help your paranoia as posted above.

If its not a sony Laptop I doubt that it will support it, the Pro may refer to something else. Sony like to make their own things, like their own flash cards and their own format of video so your forced to buy Sony Compatible products, from of course sony.

hey mushu, i have the 1st gen psp, so i can def help ya out here. instead of using the card reader (which is what i have as well), depending on which version u have (more than likely its the 3rd gen) it will have a mini-b slot, so i would highly suggest you use that slot to do your transferring of pictures and music. i bought my cable from gamestop years ago (still works great after all this time), & the great news is that they still sell different variables of the usb cable. the type i got had both the power adapter port not to mention the usb port, so if you can find that, then ur set. if you need pics of what it looks like, hit me up via PM & ill be glad to take pics of mine so you can find the same version as i have.

btw, i forgot to mention that the memory card slot only uses what is known as a memory stick pro duo. sony does sell em, but theyre really expensive thru them. i highly suggest you get it from sandisk. alot cheaper & just as dependable.
