need a little steam help

for the last week or so ive have a problem with the steam store and community pages not loading. i click on the store and it tells me im in offline mode (which im not) and the commnity page just never loads. anyone know how to fix it?

Check your firewalls . see if those are blocking access to steam.exe

Before you check your firewalls check to be sure your connected to the internet and not just your local network. If this isn't then, check your firewall or antivirus that could be blocking incoming connections from steam.

Right most of the time just restarting Steam will reset it and it will be ok. If it continues, then you may have firewall/connection problems. And if its not that your Steam Files could be corrupted.

iv had this a few times myself but i usually find that going to the my games tab and back again seems to clear it

internet is fine. i havent installed any new antivirus or firewall and restarting steam and switching the tabs wont work. i have noticed that its not just called steam in the task manager any more though. its called steam 732897. basically its acting like its in offline mode when its not

Mine is like that too, its fine. Have you checked the windows firewall to see if thats allowing access?

still no cookie. i can connect to the steam network. i think. i can still play online and download games. the steam cloud thingy seams to be working fine. i can acces the friends list in the menu and message people as well. its just the store page and the community page. im doing some system cleaning and scanning now. maybe i have a trojan or nasty rootkit

its called steam 732897.

that's nothing abnormal mien does that as well, i believe its the build number
