iTunes alternatives

I've been using iTunes for a while and i've kinda got sick of it and its resource hoggish-ness
Just wondering if anyone has ideas on alternatives to it. Preferably not Foobar/WMP or Winamp, I'm not a big fan of any of those, unless there are addons etc that you can sing the praises of that mind swing me

Believe it or not, Windows Media Player as improved immensely in Windows 7. I'd advise using that

songbird is simlar to itunes and resource hoggy like itunes

my personally preference for windows is foobar2000, it use next to no resources and every part of it is customizable.

and for OS X and linux amarok 2.2 is by far the best and my alltime fav media player.

on windows there is also
winamp and musikcube which are good and use little resources.

edit i know by default foobar looks like crap but the point is that you build your one ui and feature on to it with the layout editor and pluginss.

Foobar is horrible for resources once you start running plugins and skins. I managed to get my resource use up to like 400 MB with a single skin

never used iTunes, so can't comment on the differences in resource(s) needed, but it's always seemed sprightly to me
