ive used and admined both vent and TS. where there are a ton of people on vent is awesome.. very functional and lightweight both server and client sides Ts is a little heavier and gets hard manage at times

The poll is completely unbiased because it doesn't give information for or against either product. The poll assumes that people would vote based on the info that they currently have.

The outcome of the poll will not necessarily dictate what eGO will use.

He's right, the poll is not biased. Most polls assume that people who do not have enough information will gather it themselves. Unfortunately this isn't the case, so I see your point that a number of votes may be uneducated, but the poll itself is not biased.

Cool iPhone App - PhoneSpeex

The PhoneSpeex app doesn't work with the TS3 Beta; however it works great w/ TS2.

I tested this app and was able to use my cell phones 3G connection to communicate with people on a TS2 server. I had to enable Speex codec support, but I was able move around and join channels. With web admin you can admin the server.

PhoneSpeex is rumored to be working on a TS3 version of their app and multiple requests for vent have been submitted.

If they get either client working it will be a very useful app. If you don't want to wait for the iPhone app just jailbreak your phone, compile and install the unix/linux version of TS or Vent. I've heard mixed reports of success with the later option.

personally, i prefer Teamspeak. aesthetically, Teamspeak looks cleaner. Functionally, they're both good. But I tend to lag alittle ingame with ventrillo especially if I try to talk while ingame.

Gaming As A Whole

Ventrilo is currently the best way to go. I don like like team speak at. Ventrilo allows me to gaming with various clans, my friends and friends from older clans. Just keeps things simple!
