Hey guys just built my new computer take a look! What do you think?

Mainboard : Asus M4A785TD-V EVO
Chipset : AMD 785GX
Processor : AMD Phenom II X2 550 @ 3100 MHz
Physical Memory : 4096 MB (2 x 2048 DDR3-SDRAM )
Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260
Hard Disk : WDC (500 GB)
DVD-Rom Drive : TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223C
Monitor Type : LG Electronics L206W - 20 inches
Network Card : RTL8168/8111 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.01.2600 Service Pack 2
DirectX : Version 9.0c (April 2009)

still not exactly the cheapest things......on ebay they still sell for more than wat hte GTX 260's sold for before the ATI 58xx came out and on ebay they are usually used.

nice setup, but i agree that the 260 is outdated and overpriced. Also the 785g
chipset is so-so.

Windows seven would be nice aswell.

That is my opinion, which is what you asked for.

Meh, everything is out dated the second you order it so no biggie still going to preform like a champ

Its a Xcilo wind tunnel 2x 250mm fans with speed controls neat the LED's and on/off buttons which is nice. a spot for a 120 on the back and a spot for a 80 on the top. It also has tool less drive bays and HDD bays, also nice.

If you payed like $100 for the GTX 260.......then that would be worth it and more like it. Otherwise, naw not really. It will do you fine though.

Lol things aren't outdated once you order it haha

Just saying you coulda got something better for the money.......like a 4850x2 or something

Im planning on getting 2x4850x2 for $300 then sell my old card for like $80 so i only pay like $220 which is an epic deal for 4 GPU's which will run anything at my resolution of 1680x1050. Don't care much about DX11, not much of a difference so far in visuals with games supporting it.

Nice build, cant wait till I build my next one, or make a big upgrade on this one, its so cool to have the room full of new parts!!

Does that motherboard not have built-in ethernet ports?

Why did you get the LAN card?

Yeah and not just my new build but my wife's computer has the same parts as mine except motherbaord and gfx card in it she has a 8600gt (since she does not game given to us by a friend) and a mATX mobo.

That is the built in ethernet. PC Wizard likes to list EVERYTHING so i just copy and pasted saves time to do so.

Dude what case is that lol i like the lights looks nice =] i got a crappy antec three hundred

*embarrassed face*

*pats on the head* its okay little one =)

Its a Xcilo wind tunnel got it off newegg i like it too =P they have it in mid-tower (2x 180mm fans) or full tower (2x 250mm fans) I got the full tower fairly cheap tower too 85.99 when i bought it.

looks pretty good

Well i was shooting for awesome but i'll take what i can get

Looks nice, but I'd go for the Phenom II quad @ 3.2 (can't remember exact name) and a HD 58XX.

Then you'd suddenly get a dragon platform (YEAH) and a generally better computer for multi-tasking and/or video games.

Also, replacing stock cooler would give you some sweet OC opportunities.

I have a dual core Phenom II black edition, if i wanted i could unlock the other 2 cores and wala have a quad core, but there is no benefit to it at this time.

The GFX card is all about preference does not matter what i get as long as I like it. For gaming its still a beast. I have a cooler master that my friend bought for my x-mas gift but he bought me a AM2+ not a AM3 so it does not cover the CPU =\. ALl in all im happy with my rig as it stands right now. Plus moving from a AM2 anthlon XP dual core to a phenom II black is awesome! :)

Helps multitasking and such.........theres no reason not to unlock it and have all 4 cores. Only means more performance. Also, if you can overclock a quad-core just about as high as the dual-cores, don't see whats wrong with it. Even though you can overclock dual-cores even higher than quad-cores.
