Is this ideal temperatures?

I checked out my temperature, is this ideal? Or is it kinda high?

It doesn't matter...........you need load temps, not stock temps. Load temps are what matter. Run Prime95 while your recording these temps and take a screenshot of the highest you see it go then show us.

Looks pretty decent. Like a stock cooler usually has temps around this area. I just ran Prime95 for 6 hours and the highest it went was 47c, and idle is 20-23.

My P4 HT 550j would run at close to 70 C with a 1 kilogram CPU cooler made of pure copper. It all depends on your CPU and your system setup. Different airflow, how much dust do you have in your case and on components, dust insulates and retards radiation of heat, and many others things determine your temperature. Also, you want to stress your computer when you check the temperature. Launch a bunch of apps and games at the same time and see what your temperature is. I have not seen a PC crash due to CPU temperature in a very long time, but i see PCs crash due to the GPU temperature all the time.

If you meet the manufacturer's specified temperature you should be fine. Semiconductors break down at higher temperatures, so lower is better, but they build in a certain window of about 10 C degrees perhaps that will work fine, if you hit 80 C + you should worry.

If we had diamond CPUs we would not care so much about the temperature and they are coming soon.

Finally somebody else stating what i said.......all these posts are like "ur fine, those idle temps are close to mine"........my temps idle are like the same all the time no matter how high i overclock, but when it gets to load, its obviously a lot different from a smaller overclock with less voltages.

So post some screenshots of your load temps once again...

How long did you run it?

The margin between high and low isn't that much.

It looks like you have a stock cooler because when the temps get a little high the fan speed will kick up.

If you want you can open your case and blow out the fans with some compressed air. DO NOT take off you headsink/fan for your CPU unless you know what your doing, I tried it without any knowledge on how they work without any thermal paste and whatnot and ended up with a KIA'd computer for like 2 days getting some thermal paste.

Just use a compressed air can (staples/wallmart, whatnot) and blow out the dust in your case. It should drop your temps a considerable amount.

Six months of dust makes a lot of difference. Depends on the environment, but a decent amount can pile up.

Your going to deal with higher temps after 6 months of dust collection, when I cleaned out my heatsink I was idling at 28C, 3 months later I'm idling at 38C and my house is very clean.

Like others said, you'd be surprised.
