Crazy! Can't believe someone pulled that off!
 
I wonder what they'll do with all those laptops. They're probably going to sell them, but aren't those laptops traceable somehow?

Actually yes they can be traced, however if the thieves are a smart as their robbery was, they will most likely format the discs with a security wipe and delete the product identification.
 
Best buy employee: OH MY GOD ALL THESE LAPTOPS ARE GONE, oh nevermind they were just apple laptops. They have been sitting there for 2 years anyway.

Simply judging from the Best Buy I work at, there's no way on earth that an Apple laptop is going to stay in stock for even two months. Two weeks from arrival to sale is much more likely, in the extreme.

Except for a macbook air. Like nobody buys those.
 
there are so many ways to sell the laptops without getting caught first of all so i doubt they will be stupid enough to get caught selling them.

They could just easily post on craigslist and do person to person selling or hey maybe even the black market

Considering the average selling price of an apple laptop sold at best buy is $1700 they really didn't need to nab that many. Maybe 13 of them to hit $26k. If they knew what there were doing, which it obviously appears that they did, then they'd only grab the high end ones.

I think you're quite right. 10 laptops are not that difficult to unload.
 
since they stole those things in jersey if they ever get traced u most likely see them being sold somewhere else .... most likely south america and all of that ... container ships look out !!!

They could of sold 26 macbooks or 13 macbook airs or like 10 macbook pros, or anything in between its kinda like I have $5 dollars in coins how many do I have?

Well, let's look at this with some logical assumptions.

First off, you have to carry that $5 with you, so it's probably not going to be in pennies.

In fact, because you've got $5 in coins that you need to carry, and get rid of without anyone noticing, a crap ton of pennies would be a bad way to go. Recent actions on your part have led me to believe that when it comes to coin-related topics you are pretty savvy.

So you're probably going to just coin dollars, fifty cent pieces, and quarters as you can, and only move down to dimes and nickels when you're forced to. Pennies as a last resort.

So yeah, it is like how many coins do you have, but it's really easy to assume that anyone with the knowledge to pull this off also would be smart enough to not try and steal only the low cost (though those words don't really apply to a mac) laptops.
 
well lets kinda stray away from thinking up devious ways these hooligans can get away with
their foolish act ;) Anyways this a very interesting story..I think someone watches a little too
much tv :)
 
Nice, really easy to steal MacBooks, thin and light you could carry a lot without worrying them having to weigh to much.... 5% of the computer market uses Macs, 95% of that 5% have stolen Macs, I dont blame them either XD

So if any one works at any store, any where then might want to look out for people continually coming in your store, they may be planning a heist ... dun dun dun ...

lol ^ darth..... They probably could of got more of them I wonder why they stole so few I mean at most they stole 26 if they were all macbooks. Oh and your spray is a lie lol I am on 3.6 thank-you very much!
