Trouble Downloading Movie Files

[stacksondeck]

Hello to my smarter tech brethren,
I am trying to download some awesome movie trailers I saw today:

Tron Legacy:
http://www.program-glitch-esc.net/

Iron Man 2:
http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ironman/

and they are in the .MOV format. They give different download links for the various resolutions and I've been trying to download the HD (720p) versions of them but I am unable to. I've used Chrome and IE8 and they both start a download and end immediately, giving me a file thats a few kb large.
Does this have to do with the fact that I don't have a paid version of Quicktime?

All help is welcome. I would like to be able to drool over light cycles and the suitcase armor offline.

It might just be them trying to stream instead of you downloading a whole video.

EDIT: Yeah, it's streaming, it loads as your Internet does which makes the .mov file small.

What happens when you go to the link, copy the link

http://trailers.apple.com/movies/paramount/ironman2/ironman2-z7r459g-tlr1_720p.mov (for example)

then Open URL in QuickTime?

click on the link let it buffer all the way than go file save.

If you want to DOWNLOAD to your computer, use a youtube downloader (google there are hundreds of free ones), and just convert it to whatever you wish after you download it.

If you just want to watch it on your browser, than let it completely buffer before you click play.

IF you noticed, this isnt a youtube link bro.
