currently i am playing on a laptop but its beginning to become outdated, in the future (maybe this summer) i would buy a new desktop and leave my laptop for schoolstuff.

i wonder how much i would need to save if i want to play all the newest games on high video settings. like for exemple battlefield bad company 2:
this our the recommend settings for bc2 currently:
OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad or higher
Memory: 2GB
Graphics: 512 MB Video Card (GeForce GTX 260/ ATI Radeon 4870)
Controller Support: Support for Logitech G15 and G19 keyboard LCDs in multiplayer

i wonder if i want to buy a new dekstop what would i need to have this requirements or even better, and what budget i would need, i need to buy everything and i don't have any experience with building a computer.
also an important note is that i am belgian (western-european) so i would need information that's relevant for me. I would appriciate your help guys.

can you link some Belgian sites, (in english so i could read) so we can maybe find a build for you?

hmm that's kind of a problem because our official languages our dutch/french/german. i am planning to buy a computer or parts in belgium or the netherlands, depending what's cheapest. and also i don't have any experience with looking information up like this, i don't know anything about technical pc stuff.

You can go to www.newegg.com
Most there stuff ships for free even though your in Belgium!
I just built mines with the help of some people in the tech help section and It was around $550 and its awesome!
Building a computer is a million times easier than you think!
Just look at a few video's on youtube like I did lol!

Loose the vista dude. It's a waste of memory and it's really really just not worth the fancy move ments and themes. Just stick with the regular windows. Vista seems amazing at first but the computer will get slow and you'll be able to see the changes later on. Thats my thoughts.

haha k i'll look for a dutch site, basically just the navigating on the site will be a bit of dutch, but mainly for computers and stuff we use english terms so it won't be that hard.

So far ive make a computer for around 700$ which is less if your currency is higher than US.

514 euro, but computers and parts are more expensive out here, so in general a pc in the us that cost 700usd will cost around 700euro overhere with the current currency in mind.

from wich site did you get this? because i posted a lot of them anyway i am not going to buy a new pc instantly, i need to save for it first, but like i understand with a budget around 800 euro i should have enough to buy a decent computer + monitor.
