Can anyone reccomend a good pci graphics card? I found a spare monitor and wanted to use it, so I thought investing in a second card might be good

Yes you can.. IF.. it has two outputs.. if not .. no dice.

I actually have 3 outputs. Analog, dvi (? I think) and an HDMI

problem is, the second monitor only has your basic old analog

What card do you have right now? Because normally a card with an output configuration like that doesn't support dual-monitors. I have a Galaxy GTS 250 with the exact same output configuration (DVI, VGA, HDMI) and it doesn't support dual monitors. I would check to make sure before you buy a converter

yea i was about to say the converter/adapter is quite cheap and easy to find and if u built the system ur self chances are u got it laying around !!!

Nvidia gt 220. I'm fairly sure it doesn't support it

The 220 does have support for dual monitors. And a GTS 250 should definitely have support too.

any graphics card made within the last 3-4 years should have support for dual monitors if two outputs are supported
