Technical-Pro Bom-8 Good?

I am considering buying the Technical-Pro Bom-8 from hollywooddj.com, it is on sale and looks extremely nice, but i could not find any real good reviews on it. Does anyone know if this is a good subwoofer? And if i can get anything better for around the same price (i will go up to 40$ for a decent subwoofer that is better than the Technical-Pro Bom-8) can you give me a link?

Also is it possible to install this in my car when i get my car? I want to be able to use a subwoofer for my band and car so i need to be able to use it for both.

Im not any authority on this and i might be wrong but im pretty sure sub-woofers you place in cars take a special connection just not for power but to also be hooked upto the sound system.

Subwoofers require an amplifier and the cables to connect from the head unit to the amplifier and from the amplifier to the subwoofer. Any subwoofer can be installed in any car as long as you have a head unit that has the same adapters per cable for the amplifier to connect to. I looked into the portability and it would be very simple to take the subwoofer out of my car and use it in my band. Now i just need to know if this sub is a high quality subwoofer.

Have you thought about looking at local companys if they sell it and ask them how well it works/ sounds. So far im thinkin your not gonna get the answer your looking for. I myself know little to nothing =(

Thanks for the responses guys. Sniper4Life, thank you so much for this, i looked at reviews and have only heard good things about MTX line Audio Thunder Pro's. I have ordered three of these babies (i need them for my band) and hopefully they put out what i need.
