Unfortunately, Photoshop is not free. You can always download a trial version of it that lasts 30 days.

If you want a free alternative, try GIMP

Gimp is the free version of Photoshop, more like OpenOffice.org is to Microsoft office.

Where do I want to use it for? If it's for simple stuff GIMP or Paint NET will do just fine.

Anyway, let me quote a very special person:

"You wouldn't be asking how to illegaly download it in this public space would you? THE thing is you'd have to be a PIRATE to do that and still keep the authorities at BAY."

:P
Ya GIMP is probably your best bet if you want free and legal.

Making subtle references to illegal software sites doesn't make it any less against the
rules than if you just said it out loud. Posting about downloading software illegally is against the rules, actually downloading it is against the law, and it makes companies like adobe lose money, in turn people lose jobs.

I am sure by the wording of your post and the fact that adobe does not sell a legal portable version of any of there software you too are suggesting that you can give him a illegal copy of photoshop. That is against the rules please don't talk about it here.

As for your question adobe offers really good discounts to students and educators, as well as some schools offer it to their students for cheap or for free. The adobe student store can be found here: http://www.adobe.com/education/students/ also for people who are less advanced adobe sells fireworks which is much cheaper than regular photo shop found here: http://www.adobe.com/products/fireworks/?sdid=FNNTC&. Furthermore if you want to just play around download the 30 day trial.

Free versions such as gimp are also available.

If I were you I would look online on sites such as ebay or other sites selling older versions of photoshop (CS4 CS3, etc.) up to CS3 they are pretty much exactly the same and cs2 is not much different.

Hope I helped, and now that the question has been answered maybe this should be locked to prevent more references to illegal software downloads?

Why so serious? Don't get the joke?

Linking to illegal software is against the rules of most forums. But I all stated here was the name of a site, there's nothing against that. As far as I am aware there has still not been any ruling that LINKING TO copyrighted material hosted elsewhere is actually illegal. I agree that forums may just block the application rather than risk it, but as things stand TPB is a perfectly legal website. But once again, I wasn't linking.

Not specifically, I was wondering, because I have an original license of Photoshop CS4.
could buy another.
which asked why and I wanted to buy the license.
Since I have discounts.
But increased again.
and I can not

Download 30 day free trial. If you like it, buy one of the cheaper, older ones (elements, cs2)

Or get paint.net, it is much easier to use than GIMP but SLIGHTLY less powerful.

Don't play "admin" around here, it ain't your job. Reporting the post is all you may do.

I did not break any rules(and the fact that a moderator did not edit or delete my post when the others were modified proves this), although it isn't my job I still can. If I see something wrong like people showing torrent sites and sharing illegal software than I am going to say something.

This isn't really a topic of discussion on the forums guys.
GIMP is the suggested program to use. Otherwise purchase a copy of Photoshop.
