The recent update intentionally removed the ability to attach items to players and have them be visible. This breaks a lot of mods, some are listed on the petition page.

If you care about fun mods for TF2, go make your voice heard!

This recent update killed many of Use_My_Teleporters mods :<

Definitely signing.

Signed.

Valve, let our creative community continue to thrive! Our creativity is what gives you NEW IDEAS FOR GAMES!!! If I remember correctly, Counter-Strike was a mod for Half-Life... Don't forget where your best titles have come from. THE COMMUNITY!

"items" could be more clearly worded as "entities", but most people understand what tf2 items are.

Attaching entities to other entities is generally a simple feature of the engine, valve implemented a change that if you try to attach something to the player, that attachment does not draw on the client.

This affects anything that you attach to the player, hats are one of the attachments, weapons are attachments, flags are attachments.

So the collateral damage of this change goes far beyond just "silly hats", it adds an artificial limit to what a programmer may do.

BTW, If this can get some promotion from EdgeGamers, I would be eternally grateful. I know EG is absolutely huge and we could probably score a crap ton of signatures from concerned players.

Players are the ultimate beneficiary of plug-ins and community content.

Riddle me this, why do you think he posted it here?

A hint at the answer : to promote this issue!

I've enjoyed voogru's mods in the past, least I can do is help.

I think thats why he posted it in the TF2 Division Discussion :), so the TF2 players who are active on the forums will see it. I think it would be awesome to see a front page post about it, but typically those are only for special events and promotions and stuff. But I think it would be awesome anyway :P.

Signed. Agent86 does enough for us. If he needs us to do something for him, every last person in this division should feel obligated to help him out.
