Amd Phenom II Hexacore Review... Rigged?

Hey I was reading this article dated April 27, 2010

http://www.techspot.com/review/269-amd-phenom2-x6-1090T-and-1055T/page11.html

Seems like the $205 AMD Phenom II X6 1055T fail in comparison to the $200 Intel i5 750 across the board. The crazy thing is i5 750 don't even have hyper threading.

Anyway is this a trustable source? (Techspot)

Not in my opinion.
It's just another Phenom II, (almost the exact) same architecture, just 2 more cores. Whoop-de-freakin-doo. It's still a Phenom II. The i5 is still going to be better for most things, unless the program is 100% multithreaded. But even then, I don't know. 4 cores with superior architecture or 6 cores with the same architecture as before.
Not bashing AMD/being Intel fanboy, it's just that AMD needs a new architecture to become good (absolute performance wise) again, possibly overcoming Intel. But that's a long shot.

I don't understand.

The way the article puts it it sounds like the i5 750 barely keeps up in some tasks.
