Article ITT I attempt to review every movie I've seen.

Thank you whoever stickied this thread :)

So many serious movies in here, what about...

Big Trouble in Little China?

>.< I hate to admit this...but I haven't seen it. So here is something by the same people.

Title: Escape from New York
Year: 1981
Country of Origin: US
Director: John Carpenter

Story: The President's plane is shot down over New York, which is now a maximum security prison. He is being held hostage by a group of ruthless thugs and the only man who can save his is Snake Plissken.

Review: If you've played any of the Metal Gear games and haven't seen this movie...then shame on you. The character Solid Snake is based on Kurt Russel's character. This is big cult film...and for good reason, it's campy, has a great protagonist and a ridicules villain. It's not in anyway a good movie, but still it's fun for what it is.

I know...I know. I'm actually a little embarrassed about not seeing Big Trouble in Little China. I mean it's the kind of film that's right up my alley.

Swordfish_movie.jpg

Title: Swordfish
Year: 2001
Country of Origin: US
Director: Dominic Sena

Story: John Travolta is a terrorist...maybe. Halle Berry is also a terrorist...maybe. Don Cheadle has no idea what's going on...yeah.

Review: What I consider the first casualty of the post-Matrix film landscape. Swordfish isn't that bad of a movie and would have been better if it didn't try to be the Matrix. Yeah, I know it's not the Matrix...but looking at some of the themes of the film and the cinematography...it's close enough to the Matrix. Still it's entertaining.

Disturbia

Title: Disturbia
Year: 2007
Country of Origin: US
Director: D. J. Caruso

Story: It's like Rear Window...hahaha who am I kidding this is Rear Window.

Review: Yep, that's right folks you read the above correctly, this is Rear Window. Sooo...if you've seen that, then you've seen a better version of this film. Here is the question though, if Rear Window never existed...would this film be worth watching? Ehh...kind of. The plot is muddled and at time uninteresting, the protagonist is almost likable. I do like David Morse and he was pretty good in this. I guess the film is alright up till the end, where it falls apart.

Title: Trinity and Beyond

Story: It's a film about big explosions.

Review: Well it's a film about nuclear bomb tests from the Trinity test all the way the 1st Chinese test. It's a scored to classical music and is narrated by the Shatner. So...yeah...worth watching.
