Ventrillo help

I had vent working at 100%. Now when I was patching and launched CoH (Company of Heroes) my mic in vent wouldn't transmit.

I tried reinstalling and fixing the setup but it doesn't want to work. Will I have to uninstalled CoH for my mic to work again? If anyone could help me that would be great.

Check to see if your using the corect hotkey

Yep I was, left Alt

I tried that, but no luck. Still doesn't want to work.

I've now determined that its Ventrillo that's the problem. I tested my microphone in CS:S and everyone can hear me. Reinstalling Vent doesnt work, so CoH is causing troubles.

Run both Vent and CoH as admin and see if it works.

also, I believe by default, left alt in company of heroes is used to change camera angle. Make sure your push to talk key does not overlap with an in-game command.

I can try that out see if it helps any. But now ive discovered that even with no game running/steam (Vent by itself) it seems unresponsive to any voice commands. (left alt, etc)

Ever since I installed CoH it doesn't seem to work, so I'm 99.9% sure that's what is causing the problems.

Got rid of CoH, but vent is still continuing to not transmit any voice. Sigh stupid technology :glare:

Okay, ive figured it out. And I feel pretty stupid haha

at the bottom of vent (the main window) there's a box called "Mute Microphone/Binds"
and I seemed to have enabled it by accident. SO, lets just uhhhhh forget about this topic shall we?
