Why is it that most people don't use the bipod? It deploys on almost any stable surface (haven't got it to work on cars yet) and greatly increases the stability on your weapon system. The RPK for instance is a straight up killing machine with the bipod deployed. Stable as a rock, incredible accuracy when firing 4-5 round bursts and when used in the right place still provides 140 degree field of fire or more. Seems that there's a reason the LMGs and sniper rifles have a bipod on them. They should be used more. Invaluable tool for providing effective suppressing and covering fire for your squad.

Well, for the marine sniper I have to say that once the bipod is the deployed, aiming gets kind of jumpy...

For the SAW/MPK, you are completely right.

Played on Buhriz and Almaden last night and saw 3 or 4 people each map actually standing and trying to fire a LMG when there was a wall or sandbags right next to them they could put the bipod on. Didn't know whether to just shake my head or LoL.

I have the same problem as cruel when I use the bi-pod on the marine sniper rifle but I bring the PAIN on Karma with the rpk on it's bi-pod!!!
Its just a issue of mobility why some people don't always use it because if you'r getting shot at its a bid hard to run away plus on the rpk using semi auto is just about as accurate as using it on the bi-pod

For sniper, not really worth it unless your doing some major camping on dust2.

For the MG, its a necessity

It depends on what I'm using it for but I'll use the sniper for all of the weapons. A lot of the times when I using the 240, I don't want to stay in one place long enough to use the bipod. I'll let off a few quick burst then want to keep moving forward. Times like those, it is more of a pain than anything else to use the bipod. But when I am laying down covering fire, I'll use the bipod.

Bipod on the sniper is insanity not to mention you cant hide from other sniper fire if you're all set up with a bipod.

I think , that for the DMR , it's really complicated to deploy , because you've got to keep a mobilty;but for the SAW it is a necessity

To be completely honest, I don't like the bipod that much. I use the RPK and the SAW quite a bit, and I find that I'm just more effective by constantly keeping on the move instead of sitting in one spot, even if it's for a brief amount of time. It's just my play style, and it's served me well. That's not to say that the bipod isn't effective, it's just not my cup of tea.

I'd use the bipod with the sniper more if the scope didn't lag for me when the bipod is deployed. Due to the lolframerateskips, I'm actually more accurate without it than with it. >_> And I imagine I could fix that pretty quickly, I'm just not inclined enough to do it.

Only thing i dont like about the bipod is if someone gets close and runs across in front of you you cant turn the aimer quick enough to catch them. I'd have to set my mouse speed higher which is rediculous cause im already pretty high up there in mouse speed.
