Lately in the TF2 division forum there has been a push of random bounties on people. While funny and entertaining, it seems kinda of repetitive. After searching for the word "bounty" in the forum tools, I found six pages worth of bounties. It was about 16 bounties per page-ish.
I was wondering if we could have a sticky thread for bounties. Something like a "Bail Bondmen Thread", where members could submit the bounties (including special request like taunt killing) and it would be posted twice a week, in order, depending on casino cash amount. Member would be required to submit casino cash to the bondsman, and he or she would be required to transfer said money after bounties are done. The bondsman would be required to keep track of casino cash, in the event money must be returned to members for non-finished bounties. This thread would also place bounty on members for specials occasions (birthdays, childbirth, marriage, etc).
Then once a month, an event called "Cops and Robbers" (<-- this game mainly applies for TF2) would take place. Any members with an active bounty would be required to play Scout or Spy on one team. Anyone else may play any class but Medic, Pyro, Engineer, and maybe Sniper on the other team. The game would be either Teamdeath match (team with highest total score wins) or Capture-the-Flag on a time limit. For the CTF game, the "Robber" team is trying to win the game, while the "Cop" team isn't trying to score, but run out time to win. After the "Cops and Robbers" event all previous bounties are erased for that month, thus a clean slate. Nobody collects casino cash from bounties in this event, and all casino cash is returned to owners.
I don't know if having multiple threads on the same topic affect your forum servers, but this was an idea that came to mind to limit random posting.

TF2 leadership sees no need to limit the number of bounties people put out on each other. It's fun, it affects no one but the people involved, and it certainly doesn't hurt the forums in any way. If it's something you'd rather not do then just ignore the threads
If you would like to discuss the possibility of a new kind of event your best bet is to talk with iGreen or TcVinsky.

Forum - A forum is a space where like minded individuals can contribute information of mutual benefit. A forum is a repository of data which is meant to inform and educate on a particular subject.

I'm going to quote this line every time someone from leadership tells me to use the dropbox for something. We have a forum so we can DISCUSS THINGS. If someone has an idea, the entire community should get to weigh in on it, thats the point of COMMUNITY.
Alright guys while i agree with all of you. Lets cut leadership some slack! I've visited some other divisions and please no one get upset with me but it is not NEARLY as well run. I think the TF2 division is probably the best division in eGO! That being said we should really appreciate leadership. But yes leadership i would really like to see some minor changes. Like the subforum idea. Its great! I really do not think it would turn the tf2 forum section into a ghosttown at all. I think it would promote more funny pics/youtube vids/questions/and guides.
Frankly i havn't seen a guide in FOREVER! I'd like to see the rebirth of these. So please if this poll turns out in the majoritys favor. Then please leadership at least consider making some changes or holding an open ventrillo discussion or something like that. Thanks to you all that actually read this

I'm going to agree with both of you on that. I don't fully see how having a subforum for Bounty Threads would affect people's interests in the TF2 division; it's not like people interested in the TF2 division are going to be viewing only TF2's division discussion. In fact, they'll probably be more attracted to a subforum that has something to do with Bounties in its name over Division Discussion, since it's something unique to the TF2 division.
I doubt it; many people are starting to get annoyed about the millions of bounty threads, and saying "put it in the dropbox" (most likely) just adds to it.

Just a reminder: Lets try to keep this a mature, civil discussion; you have to take in consideration that it isn't easy being in Leadership and having to make decisions for such a huge community, since the decisions made will always effect someone in a different positive or negative way.

Protip: you might shortly be in luck. The engie update has been slow in coming, so I believe I might just have the time to put together another guide before I have to update the first one. It's in the planning stages now; there might just be a thread about this shortly.

I read the first 6 posts and stopped trying. But I would totally volunteer to move the bounty threads. I spend 4 hours on this forum every day anyways. Might as well contribute.

I voted yes to the poll, but because I think something should be done, not specifically what Dy1an suggested. Having one bounty thread is difficult enough when it is just one bounty (wanted: dead admins for instance). If you try to throw more than one bounty in a thread (different rules, reward sizes, ect), it would be impossible to regulate, especially with the volume of bounties we will be throwing on dy1an...I mean, people.
We need a way where people can post, update, edit, submit, close, ect... bounties on their own without administrator assistance. A subforum would do that. A stickey/ one big post would not.

We could do that or we could put the responsibility on a guy with way too much time on his hands

Quaffer has a very good point here. I think this would be a great way to de-clutter the forums.
