As the regular Donner players may have (or may not have) noticed i have been absent for the past few weeks. This is because I am back in NZ for the summer holidays (I compete for a NCAA DivI track and field school). Now that I am back in NZ for the next few months, untill late August, it is really difficult and fustrating playing with our really slow internet, even though i have the fastest internet avalable. So now that I have had my rant, I hope and know that you will not miss me for the next couple of months. However I will try and be on now and then.

Also some people mentioned that I need to change my rates through console. Any one know how to do this and can walk me though it as I dont really know tech stuff bout computers.:confused1:

as for fixing your rates, simply type the following lines of text into console:

cl_cmdrate 67
cl_updaterate 67
rate 20000
cl_interp_ratio 1
cl_interp 0

and that should do it.

interp being short for interpolation.

basically, in plain and simple words, it describes how far behind (or ahead) of the player model your hitbox lags.(or trails)

EDIT I think the above response is slightly wrong. It makes more sense to say that the interp commands moves the player model, not the hitbox since the hitboxes are server-side, thus not alterable.

Interpolation commands are basically client-side lag "fixes", if you will.

anyway thanks blue. just downloading DoD;s onto parents comp, gonna take like 12hours. Hopefully this will be quicker than my laptop and the extra delay due to the wireless.

its annoying we can only get a 2gb limit, thus why I am not playing much
