Problem and need help.

One thing i did notice just now, as I was installing my previous skins I saw a file in my team fortress 2 folder which said hl2 crash kind of like a log it is keeping and the date and time coincide with when it happened this morning. So I know its the game and I am hoping they will fix the problem soon!!!

When you delete your game it automatically leaves your game folder there. I don't know why it does that. I hate it. What you REALLY have to do is delete TF2, Go to your C:/Program Files/Steamapps/(account name) (if you have Windows)

If its a 64-bit I think its x86/Program Files/Steamapps/-accountname-

Right-click on Team Fortress 2, uncheck read only, and when it asks to make all sub-folders the same, say yes. You have to exit Steam first before you delete it.
Delete the folder, Empty your Recycle Bin.
Reinstall TF2

BTW, it could be skins that you may have installed recently, because thats what my TF2 did and I fixed it by uninstalling my skins. Unfortunately it was the iRinger skin :(

So try playing before you reinstall the skins and see if it does anything. If it still doesn't work, if you have any custom Launch Options, cut them and paste into a notepad file to see if thats the problem. Remember, take out the launch options before you reinstall the skins.

One last thing, it could just be your video settings. I had the same problem until I realized all my options were changed to the recommended (*) options and it really slowed down my computer. Check your video settings in-game before you do any of this. Also, Color Correction and Multicore Rendering can cause some real lag, especially any Antistropic above 4x, atleast for my gaming computer. The HDR Bloom doesn't take much performance so if you have Full Bloom, pull it down alittle to see if that'll fix it. The Engineer Update seems to have reset everyone's video options, it reset mine too. Good luck.

I did delete that folder and anything else that was in my computer (I made sure of that) and its not skins because I played today and yesterday without any to make sure that that wasnt the problem either. Lastly I run all games fine with my computer and have not had any major problems with this game up till a couple of days during this update was being made and not out yet so I know its the the graphics or my computer. It has to be something with the game imo.
