Polycount update is nigh

personally I love the soldier.
destroying buildings regular rocket launcher is hard enough for me anyways even with an uber I can only manage to destroy 1 at most maybe 2 because the damn engi's are sittin behind it.
so i'm hoping if they put that new weapon for the soldier in, that it'll be a little more efficient for destruction of buildings.

I can give you the backdrop that they used for the updates, and you can make the items and stuff in Pepikura or Sketch-up.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, it seems to me that if they pay attention to the name at all, soldiers will get a gun that busts sentries. Perhaps increased damage to buildings and less to players? I mean, it's called the Tank Buster after all... he said he sent all the tanks away, but what about the engie? He just sits there, tanking his sentry all day, right (well, stereotypically, that is)?
 
Spy should have the glasses taken away, the fez makes it already awesome

Maybe they were just DYING for some Austin Powers references, but they got only Mustafa instead of a direct Austin Powers reference and they just went "ah what the hell".

Honestly, I think a Spy wearing sunglasses looks gross.
 
I heard from some people that Valve may add individual items from other packs. Anyone know if this holds any truth?

I doubt they'll be adding them to this particular update, but I DO know that Robin is quoted as saying that roughly half of the 70 entries (read: 210 items at least) are of a high enough quality to release. That means that there's a STRONG possibility that we will see a number of items from the polycount pack in the future, but probably not associated with polycount.

Afterall, everything in this contest was submitted via the "contribute" page, so all of it is fair game for valve to use, whenever.
 
My guess is that it'll boil down to whatever new weapon ideas Valve has cooking up, then they'll dig up a weapon design that matches and throw it out.
