Have you not been paying attention? This is going to be the biggest, most amazingly awesome, hippest shindig to hit eGO in it's 5 year history! We are taking DoD Realism, the most wildly successful event, (an event that is always packed with some of the best people the world has given to online gaming) and tying it in with a full out campaign. A campaign based around WW2 and the most successful world domination game ever RISK.

We took that bundle of fantastic wonderfulness and rolled it in with some seriously hardworking event coordinators (and honestly we need some of those for DoD), guys like Stormy the Stunning, CWhit the cunning, Blas the Bodacious Bowler and the guy currently playing with camel spiders in UAE also known as BlueStealth, a guy that will still dominate you with a ping over 9000. They are running this gig and you dare to simply call it FUN!

If you EVER EVER degrade this marvelous concoction of unbelievable perfection by calling it fun again I may just explode.

2 questions:
1. how do we know when we're accepted and what teams we are in and such?
2. what happens if you can't make it to a match?
 
1. Everyone is accepted and teams will be posted within the next hour or two.
2. You are shot.
 
In reality if you can't make it no big deal. We have TONS of people ready to play so it's not going to be an issue.
 
I skimmed through this and most likely missed it. Could someone tell me where I can register, that is if I have to?

We are 2 weeks into this tournament so registration at this time is closed. The next one will likely start in about a month so check back in say 3-4 weeks.
 
Well in the hopes that Sumac may explode this event, was fun and I can't wait for the next installation of it. But to make Sumac happy, it's indescribable how much fun it really is and 3-4 weeks till the next one will feel like an eternity.
 
For everyone complaining of "TEAMS", this post is for YOU!

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING...

1) We apologize that you did NOT get the team you wished for.

Teams were randomized. Pure Randomization means that the process of picking teams is/was and always will be "FAIR".

Also note that not getting the team you want does not mean that the end of the world is near. The world is not coming to a crashing halt because you did not get to be axis/allies this campaign.

There will be more campaigns where you will be given that opportunity.

2) Please stop complaining that "Player X is better than me so I'm not even going to play" or my favorite, "Player Y is better than me so I'll sit this campaign out and wait for regular realism".

My question to you is: what is the main purpose of games? To have fun, to refine your skills to get better, to play with a group of people and enjoy yourself.

Furthermore, there are talks to continue this campaign tournament mode as the response to it has been overwhelmingly good.

In conclusion, my response to you would be "just play and have fun". You can't take things in life so seriously. You can't act like that in real life, at work, or school. And as such, it is not the proper attitude to have here.



In response to everyone's overwhelming responses back from the DoD:S Realism Poll, we thank you for your valued opinions. We seem to have gotten a very positive response back.

Any further comments you may have can be PM'd to myself at any time.
