So the other day I was an Axis rifleman on Kalt and...apparently I signed up for "Team Fail." You know the one--everybody just sits by the first tank, afraid to push forward, just delaying the inevitable defeat (also known as: cowardice. Timidity. Imitating Allies.).
Anyways, we managed a great push to our own sniper house and I took a position in the North window, clearing the street with my rifle. One of my teammates took position in a side window overlooking our second flag, taking out the last few Allies in the road and watching for any more popping over the CY wall. So here I am looking down the road with a commandeered Spring, and I hear the burp of his MG behind me, continuing to shoot down the road. Well...after about 3-4 second, I notice that I have a bunch of teammates dying to one of our own MGs, so I say into my mic, "Where's that MG?" No response. I ask again after about a second of silence and then killing another Ally coming around the corner from the bridge. I then hear a guy, as he gets killed, "In the sni-..."
Only MAYBE 10 seconds had passed in this whole time, start to finish, but I was like, "hmmmm..." I unscope, turn around, and there is an Ally with the MG mounted in the window and a sniper overlooking his shoulder down the road to our second as well! I had a brief moment of "seriously?!" before I walked up and killed them from behind.
It was the strangest thing I have ever experienced and I have NO idea why neither of them noticed me/shot me.
What about you guys? Any dumb moments like this you've experienced yourself? Any better ones? I have been through a bunch of strange moments, but this one takes the cake for me.
