Portal 2 requirements?!

Well this si my case, i have a AMD Turion X2 Procesor and ATi Raedeon HD 3200 Graphics Hyper Memory Card

Do you think this will be enough to Play decently Portal 2? (i dont want to play it on my xbox)

Because i had watch Trailers of the game and the the graphics look suberb, and with high detail.

Can my laptop afford that?

try portal 1 and you'll see you actually get horrible fps (around 20ish) at normal settings. If you put all the settings on low, and maybe use dx8 you should be able to play it, but it will look bad
 
in DX8 it won't look bad, it will look HORRIBLE.
You'll probably need a new computer if you want to fully enjoy Portal 2.
 
If you can run l4d2 then you can run Portal II. They use a very similar version of source engine.

If you cant run l4d2 then you cant run PII

Actually i can run pretty decent TF2 and it uses almost the same engine as LFD2 and at SystemRequirementsLab it says i run cool L4D and L4D2 and i run all source games at dx9

L4d2 is a different version from the tf2 one. There is many differences. Also, Portal 2 is even more updated than the l4d2 one, and this version does not have dx8, so you won't be able to turn it down like other people are suggesting.

I doubt you'll be able to play it.
 
I doubt you'll be able to play Portal with that graphics card. I have a hard time on Portal 1 with a HD 4200 (though it is integrated) on normal settings on my desktop PC.

You should go to Phobus and get one of his builds and buy it around the time of the launch for Portal 2.

I do not believe that your Laptop will support Portal 2.... sorry.

February 9th, 2011. :(

Plus, I don't do builds that are going to be built in more than a month. 1 month is the max out of time, if something new is going to be released within said month, then I won't do anything until it's released. Being up to date ftw.

Meant for him to go to your thread about 2-3 weeks before the launch of Portal 2 and you put together a rig for him and he buys it :P

Btw... has anyone noticed how fast this year went by?

It didn't for me. This year has kind of sucked a lot, actually. I got out of school, and now I realize how much life sucks. :/

Yeah i know, this year was a fast one, and i feel sorry for my little laptop, she might be replaced wit a desktop one (im not going to sell this laptop), ill just replace it for some games such as portal 2 and Op. Flashpoint Dragon Rising (i already buyed it on a steam saleoff just 4 dolars!)

did i mentioned i run okay CoD4?:P

Get new PC, NAO, You wont look back, just got an i7 950 with 460 HAWK OC from a Pentium 4. NIGHT AND DAY!!!
