Metal Gear Online
Great Game.
It's the online version of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

Played it over at a friend's house, and it's just as awesome as MGS4 itself.
It's the sequel to the first Metal Gear Online found on the PS2 game "Metal Gear Solid 3: Substance".

To be honest, I prefer the MGS3 version more. It has more action, more thrill, and more challenge.
MGO kinda reminds me of SOCOM in a way. But still it's a great game.

It brings Tactical Espionage Action, online.

Exclusive to the Playstation 3.

Any of you guys play it?

There's nothing like fooling a bunch of highly capable soldiers with a booby magazine, and then killing them with their own gun.

But I'm never Snake T.T always one of the highly capable soldiers...or the Mk II.
However, I was Raiden once :3

What I like about MGO

Sneakin' around, using QB lv 2 to get a ton of kills, CQC, spankin' spawn campers with a shotgun, trapping, weapon customization, and all the gamemodes.

What I dont like about MGO

The hitreg in this game is terrible unless your ping is perfect. I've been in a scenario where I kill a guy with a headshot, then 2 seconds later I fall to the ground cause apparently he shoots turtle bullets. This wouldn't be that bad if it didn't happen multiple times per round

I hate it when Free Battle game runners disable shotguns, without shotguns its almost impossible to get campers out of your spawn.

I hate how the M14 fully automatic sniper rifle only needs a neutral KDR to be bought, and then not only can people snipe, they can use it as a low-medium range gun too!!

Playboys are way to powerful. It should only effect you long enough to fill your stamina bar, but since Konami dropped the ball with the effect stamina has on you in multiplayer your stamina is always full unless you've been shot with a tablespoon full of anesthetic.

Skill farming. Why would Konami give players the ability to level their skills in private games in the first place??? At any time of the day %40 of the custom games are something like "!!!KNIFELEVELUP" or "CQC/PISTOL LEVEL". Yet even though it is general knowledge they still have not provided a single update to discourage it.

How people don't use common sense. You'll be in a game on Midtown Maelstrom and your team is just walking into the sniper alley zig-zagging, instead of buying 3 smoke grenades (THAT ARE FREE) to help out the team. The only time you really see teamwork is in Base, Rescue, or Sneaking.

Duuudddeee.... You should've seen how the First MGO on the PS2 was...
You won't believe how much the XM was a pain in the *ss! Two proper shots with auto aim would bring your *ss to ground.
The ping in the other hand, you are absolutely right. If you lag a lot, MGO is the worst place to be.
The shotgun... Ahhh M870, how I love you so.
Some people love to spawn kill like there would be no tomorrow.. I disable shotguns on Portable Ops alot...
The M14EBR, kinda like the one in MW2, 'cept the MGO version can be spammed by a trigger happy four year-old without a diaper.
As for that smoke grenade, Midtown Maelstorm seems to be a great map for extreme grenade spam.

How should I know really, I barely play on that map.
I prefer Urban Ultimatum and Groznyj Grad, because U.U. is a remake of Metal Gear Solid: 3 Subsistence's City Under Siege, and G.G. because I freaking loved that part on MGS3.

I don't have the expansion pack , so I can't play as Raiden.
:O
He seems so bad-ass, compared to his wimpy MGS2 persona.

That's because in the 5 years separating MGS2 and 4, he seems to have become a cyborg with super reflexes. Can't wait for Rising.

I have thought about trying the MGO for MGS4 but I have heard registration and logging in on the PS3 is a pain in the butt...

It is...it's not really the PS3 thing, but I believe it's that MGO uses its own login system. Not sure. I just let my brother do it for him and used his account.

Yes, it is.
You need to register to KONAMI and then all the usual things.
The thing that's really annoying about it... How long it takes to register... It took me a week, and about 40% of the time I try to connect, it usually gets Timed Out. I don't know but I think it's just my connection. I lag on MGO and I lag a Hell lot more on CS:S.
