Electronic cigarettes. Best investment I've made in a while =D

As I, and other members I know of and more do smoke cigarettes, I'm sure a lot of us that do, or even don't smoke have wondered.. Do those Electronic cigarettes work?


I started seeing them in online ads, then in stands in the mall, and now I even see them for 20$ at 7 eleven. Obviously when I saw the big sign in the window, and I saw the 20$ price I was going to get them.. Anywhere else that I've seen them, they are expensive.. around 50$.

^That would be the one that I got, just took 2 pics with my cell and put them together. =D

They taste very similar to regular non menthol cigarettes.. Like Marlboro or Paul mall. They last for a long time.. And are rechargeable! (FTW)

They don't smell, and it's just like taking a drag from a regular cigarette.. and apparently, they are legal to smoke wherever since there is no second hand smoke Risk.

This pack that I have does include the chemical nicotine, so they are semi bad for you. but no where near what tobacco can do to you.

k thought the smokers or anyone curious about these things would enjoy this thread. =D

There is no proof that this brand, or I believe any other brand for that matter helps you quit smoking.... but. I HAVE heard from people that it does help. I can see where they are coming from, as after 5 or 6 drags I didn't want another cigarette the whole night last night. That was quite a shock. you get what you need after a few drags, for me anyway.. Then smoking isn't really needed as often in such a short period of time. HOLLA

Here as well. you cannot smoke uhm. Anywhere. except outside and in your own homes. not even in bars anymore. no restaurant smoking sections... nothing. either at your or someone else's house or no where at all in new york. now even in some outside areas you can't smoke.

Same here in Chicago. Only you're allowed to smoke in public, but just in designated areas. And in clubs, there's like a small outside area to smoke.

go to volcanoecigs.com, they are based out of hawaii and this brand is amazing. A little on the expensive side but worth every dollar. If you are trying to quit or do something healthier, please try them. If you have questions, just pm cause I do not wish to pollute this thread with awsomeness...jus lemme know. I have a gentlemen at work that uses one of those electronic cigs..... He says it works really well. He has gone from smoking 2.5 to 3 packs a day down to 1 pack a week in just a months time.

2 came in the back pictured. 1 cigarette, and 2 filer like things. I forget their term, but the filer looking thing last 300 to 600 pulls.. maybe longer depending on how you smoke. I'm assuming most people smoke alike unless upset or distressed.. I'd guess a normal cigarette lasts 15 to 20 pulls max? Thats for me.. and I smoke 100's the longer cigarettes.. So to answer your question, they last a pretty long time =D

The cigarette itself is chargeable. you even hear the thing sizzle and the end turns orange-red as the end of a normal cigarette cherry would.

But I would HEAVILY advise on staying away from these things until we know exactly what they can do to you. These are a new product, and many long term effects from using these may not have come into light yet. They are outlawed in many countries including Australia and Canada, simply because of the unknown dangers. Remember when people thought cigarettes were healthy? Yeah.

Please, you should at least read up on the current study progress of the health effects of electronic cigarettes before using them.

That's the main reason why I haven't jumped on the e-cigarette bandwagon...despite my friends constant goading. The FDA is actually beginning to crack down on e-cigarette manufacturers, mostly because of the quality of the products and the overall safety of them.

I don't know why your jumping in here trying to contradict things I never said, but I said smokers are well aware of the risks, and I NEVER claimed E-cigs are safer for you my dude.

Have people said they help them cut down? Yes, and as I also stated, there is no proof of that, but it is what people, and even myself claim. There is even a disclaimer on the package that they are not meant to subside your cigarette craving in a safe or non safe way.

I'm not even sure if you're a smoker or not, but regardless, why would you quote something saying we know the risks, then claim I or others are stating that E-cigs are safer for you, and that we don't know the risks? Assess your reply before posting, because in my opinion, your just trying to stir up things.

Okay, did you read what I said? Because I don't see anything in there accusing you of saying they are safe or not. I am just putting forth a friendly warning to anyone thinking about trying them because of this thread.

I never said that you thought they were more healthy, or a good substitute for assorted methods of quitting smoking, I am just issuing a PSA. You know, because I care about the well being of my fellow clan members. I just want people to be informed before they make potentially life changing decisions. It isn't an attack against you, so you can lower your gun.
