Clockwork music box. Hand held and all the lady is doing is putting it up to her ear and singing along with the melody that is produced from it. Nothing special at all about this really.

Here is a picture of one. Again it can be hand held and for the most part it is black in color just like the "cell phone" that the guy said the woman was holding.
