BC2 Events?

I was on Friday night at 7PM PST for the secret assassin event, nothing seemed to be happening. Is Bad Company 2 going to have any events in the future? I would like to get more familiar with the group and it would be easier if we all played events together.

We are having events, it's just that "secret assassin" isn't one of them. Currently, our only event so far is the Squad Rush Tournament. We're currently still hammering out some of the details of the up coming one, so please be patient and keep an eye on the forums for news about it. I can't give out any specific, but it is going to be awesome.

I have my own vent I pay for my friends and I hang out in, but if no one is in mine I have joined eGO's vent a couple times. The problem is everyone is hanging out in the R rated channel which I can't join because of my kids and the room people were in that wasn't R rated a lot of them switched to Team Fortress 2 and didn't switch channels so it was really annoying to the two of us still playing BF BC 2. We both ended up leaving because it was easier to play not listening to them than trying to communicate over them talking about TF 2. All of my experiences with eGO vent have been bad actually except the admin class with Ginganinja. I hope all my future experiences are much better. Can someone create a channel that states game talk only that people can join that want to communicate on vent to organize and play better and not have to listen about people's lives and whining and about people's girlfriends etc? I really don't want a bunch of idle banter when I am playing my games which I use to relax, I just want to talk about the game and that's it. It would be nice to have a specific room where other like minded people and myself could play and not have all the other stuff going on making game play frustrating because you can't call out something important in game because you would be keying over someone's 10 minute rant about why their beer is the best choice and the other guys sucks....

I really don't want a bunch of idle banter when I am playing my games which I use to relax, I just want to talk about the game and that's it.

...on a side note, the general rule of thumb is that if you want to just chit chat then go to a separate room away from others who are there to play the game. Thats always been the unsaid rule of ventrilo, thats why there are general rooms at the top. So if you ever have an issue with this in the future notify Music, Noxx, Plug, Leftenent or myself.
